By renting equipment from Surfguiding Peniche, you (“the Renter”) agree to the following terms and conditions. This agreement is binding once equipment is handed over to the Renter.

• Renter must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid identification must be presented at the time of rental.
• Minors may only use rental equipment under direct supervision of a parent or legal guardian, who assumes full responsibility.

• Rental period begins when the equipment is handed over and ends when it is returned to us.
• Late returns may result in additional charges as outlined in the current price list.

• Full payment must be made at the time of rental and can be done via Paypal, Bank transfer (Revolut/Wise/etc.) or in cash. To this date we do not have a card reader for credit cards.
• A security deposit of may be required and will be refunded if the equipment is returned in the same condition.
• Renter is responsible for any loss, theft, or damage to the equipment beyond normal wear and tear. Repair or replacement costs may be deducted from the deposit or charged separately.

• Equipment must be used only for its intended purpose (surfing in designated safe areas, no sitting/standing on surfboard on the beach).
• The Renter must comply with all local regulations, beach rules, and lifeguard instructions.
• Equipment may not be sub-rented, loaned, or transferred to another person without permission from us.

• Surfing involves inherent risks, including risk of injury or death. The Renter accepts full responsibility for their own safety and the safety of others while using the equipment.
• Renter must be able to swim and should only surf within their personal skill level.
• Surfguiding Peniche is not responsible for accidents, injuries, or damages resulting from use of the equipment.

By signing this agreement, the Renter waives any claims against Surfguiding Peniche, its owners, and employees for injuries, accidents, or damages arising from use of the rented equipment.

• Equipment is inspected prior to rental and must be returned in the same condition.
• Any damages must be reported immediately.
• Repair/replacement costs will be determined by us at current market value.

• Refunds are only provided if rental is canceled at least 24 hours in advance.
• No refund will be issued for early returns.

This agreement is governed by the laws of Portugal and any disputes shall be settled in the competent courts of Peniche.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects the statutory rights of consumers under applicable law.
